On 21st July 2025, a Meeting with Industry Associations was organized by SPMCIL Corporate Office with active participation from representatives from Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), industry associations and all the Units of SPMCIL in a hybrid mode.

The participant industry associations included :
● Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI)
● Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
● Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)
● Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA)

The agenda focused on promoting self-reliance by identifying opportunities for indigenous development of machines and raw materials, in collaboration with industry associations. It aimed to strengthen domestic vendor participation in line with the Government of India’s Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat vision.

Discussions covered critical areas such as future procurement needs, vendor capabilities, participation in tenders, procurement challenges, and technological innovations, laying the groundwork for a more resilient and self-reliant supply ecosystem.
